Democratic Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan is calling on the secretary of defense to reinstate the flu vaccine mandate for all service members.
She’s a veteran who serves parts of Berks and Chester counties.
She says the vaccine protects troops and pointed to a flu outbreak at Lackland Air Force base in Texas that has sickened hundreds as a reason the vaccine should be required.
In April, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the vaccine mandate “overly broad and not rational.”
