A Foster Twp. man died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lehigh County on June 30.
Kory A. Stokes, 39, died at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, according to a news release from Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. Stokes, who was wearing a helmet, died from multiple traumatic injuries, Buglio said.
The accident occurred around 4:25 p.m. near mile marker 63.1 in North Whitehall Twp., Buglio said.
Stokes was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was traveling north on the turnpike when another vehicle traveling in the right lane made a lane change to the left northbound lane of travel, Pennsylvania State Police at Pocono said.
Stokes was traveling at a speed greater than the posted 70 mph and moved to the right lane of travel when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck the rear wheels of the trailer that was parked on the right shoulder, police said.
