READING, Pa. – To accommodate more residents during the Extreme Heat Warning, Reading’s Schlegel Pool will now operate with two admission sessions on Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3.
Mayor Eddie Morán has authorized free admission for City of Reading residents during the following sessions, according to the city:
Session 1: Noon to 3 p.m.
Session 2: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The city says the pool will be cleared from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. to allow staff to reset the facility before welcoming the second group of swimmers.
The schedule will help maximize the number of residents who can enjoy the pool safely, the city says.
