(WJET/WFXP) — The Erie Zoo is letting visitors experience the park after-hours throughout the month.
Every Wednesday in July the Erie Zoo will extend its hours for Wild Wednesdays, where visitors can enjoy an evening of entertainment and treats.
The zoo will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. for movie screenings, weather permitting. Final admission for the evenings will be 7:15 p.m.
Admission or an Erie Zoo Membership is required for entry to the zoo after-hours. Standard admission is $13.00 for adults and those over 13 years of age, $11.00 for seniors age 62 and older, $9.00 for children age 2-12 and free for children under 23 months of age.
Erie Zoo’s Mane Event raises funds for animal care program
In addition to movie screenings, the zoo will have crafts and treats available while supplies last for Erie Zoo Members. Guests can also learn more about native animals through meet-and-greets and keeper talks.
The first movie screening on July 1 was postponed due to a heat advisory. Activities planned for the day were placed indoors or in a shaded area, according to a statement from the Erie Zoo.

July 15: Wall-E
Free gardening giveaway for Erie Zoo Members, while supplies last
July 22: The Lorax
Free conservation craft for Erie Zoo Members, while supplies last
July 29: Sing
Free train ride for Erie Zoo Members
