SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police announced Wednesday that downtown Scranton is scheduled for multiple parking bans and road closures to accommodate upcoming events.
For both the Scrantastic Spectacular fireworks display and the upcoming FIFA Fan Zone, the center of downtown Scranton will be subjected to several traffic pattern changes and parking bans.
DUI checkpoints set in Pennsylvania
Starting 5:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, with a parking ban on Washington Avenue off Courthouse Square, Scranton Police say the bans and traffic changes will continue through Monday, July 6.
The fireworks will be in the square Friday, July 3, and the Fan Zone will be in the square Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5.
