A 72-year-old man has barricaded himself in a home in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night after shooting a 69-year-old woman in the buttocks. police told NBC10.
The barricade situation is occurring at the 8700 block of Perch Lane. NBC10 was on the scene, where several police and fire vehicles were spotted.
As of 10:30 p.m. Sunday, police said they were trying to talk to the man and get him to surrender. They described him as “highly intoxicated and armed.”
The woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
The identities of the two people involved have not been released.
