LOWER MERION – Three people were injured and taken ot Lankenau Hospital after a tree fell onto a roadway in Rosemont, striking a car on July 3.
According to police, a blue Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on Montgomery Avenue near Thornbrook Avenue on July 3 at 12:33 p.m. when a large tree fell onto the road, hitting the car.
The three people in the car, the 35-year-old female driver and the 40-year-old male front seat passenger, both sustained injuries and were in critical condition.
The rear-seat passenger, a 10-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition.
Montgomery Avenue was closed between Wendover Road and Ithan Avenue for approximately three hours during the initial investigation. The crash was under investigation by the Lower Merion Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
