On July 1 at around 11:55 a.m. at the Walmart on Downs Drive a Pittsburgh man was walking through the store and eating food without paying.
The man Tu Nguyen told officers that he ate the food without paying for it because he was under the influence of marijuana and was hungry. He also informed officers that he was coming from the Rainbow Family National Gathering and was returning home.
Nguyen was taken into custody without incident, and he did apologize for eating the food without paying. Walmart has decided to not pursue retail theft charges against Nguyen; however he was charged with Summary Disorderly Conduct and Summary Public Drunkenness through Magisterial District Judge McGowan.
