A 53-year-old man faces charges after police said returned to Mohegan Pennsylvania on Thursday after being banned earlier in the day and refusing to leave.
When an officer from Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Gaming Enforcement and Plains Twp. Police responded to the casino floor around 1:40 p.m., Edward Froncek attempted to strike an officer and actively resisted while being taken into custody, state police said.
Police charged Froncek with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest, providing false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct, and defiant trespass.
As of Friday, Froncek remained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 15 at 10 a.m.
