Travelers looking to speed up their international arrivals process will have an opportunity next month as the Erie Regional Airport Authority partners with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to host a three-day Global Entry enrollment event at Erie International Airport, Tom Ridge Field.
The event will take place August 11 until August 13, with interview appointments available daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A break in scheduling will occur each day from 12 p.m. to 12:40 p.m.
Global Entry is a Trusted Traveler Program administered by CBP that allows pre-approved, low-risk travelers to receive expedited clearance when entering the United States after international travel.
Individuals interested in applying or scheduling an interview appointment can do so through the CBP Trusted Traveler Programs website online here.
While walk-ins will be accepted during the event, airport officials encourage applicants to schedule appointments in advance. Appointments will be given priority, and walk-in participants may experience extended wait times.
The application fee for Global Entry is $120, payable when submitting an application through the Trusted Traveler Program system.
Airport officials noted that interview appointments are expected to fill quickly due to strong demand.
The Erie Regional Airport Authority said the event provides a convenient opportunity for travelers in northwestern Pennsylvania to complete the required interview process locally rather than traveling to larger metropolitan enrollment centers.
