The Town of Bethlehem commemorated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on Saturday, July 4, with a parade and ceremonies on the green followed by a town picnic. The fireworks display that was planned to cap off the celebration was postponed to Sunday, July 5, but other activities on Saturday included a photography exhibit at Memorial Hall featuring residents’ take on the theme America Through the Eyes of Bethlehem and an ecumenical service at First Church of Bethlehem. Above, the Mattatuck Fife & Drum Corps of Waterbury headed up the parade after a presentation of colors by the Bethlehem American Legion Post 146 Color Guard.
