ERIE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is investigating a three-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Wednesday morning.
OSHP said the crash happened at 11:15 a.m. at the intersections of Huron Avery Road and Scheid Road in Milan Township.
Preliminary investigation determined a Honda CRV operated by Karam Alanazeh, 31, of Burbank, was traveling eastbound on Scheid Road when it was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The Jeep was operated by Landon Selka, 18, of Norwalk, and he was traveling southbound on Huron Avery Road.
Troopers said after the initial crash, the Honda was struck by a northbound Lincoln MKZ, operated by Roberto Quiroz, 38, of Sandusky, who was traveling northbound on Huron Avery Road.
Alananzeh sustained serious injuries, OSHP said, and Quiroz sustained minor injuries and both were transported by ground ambulance to Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Selka sustained minor injuries and declined treatment.
OSHP was assisted at the scene by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, Huron Township Fire Department, Wilson’s Towing and Recovery, Dunn Rite Towing and Auto and Perkins Towing.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, OSHP said.
