The giant Union Pacific locomotive known as Big Boy No. 4014 passed through Berks County for a second time Tuesday as it made its way west for a return home.

The steam engine, which is 133 feet long and 1.2 million pounds was in the region last week as it headed to Philadelphia for celebrations of the nation’s 250th anniversary after a coast-to-coast journey from California.

Crowds once again lined the route as the train made its way from King of Prussia to Lebanon for one last chance to see the only engine of its kind that still takes to the tracks.
