READING, Pa. – Authorities say two Reading men arrested this week are facing a multitude of drug and weapons charges.
On Wednesday, investigators from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office along with Pa State Police executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Walnut Street in downtown Reading.
Police detained 36-year-old Jalil Jacques and searched the residence.

According to court documents, police found multiple bags containing suspected crystal methamphetamine, heroin, MDMA and fentanyl along with packaging material, digital scales and $11,200.00 in U.S. currency.
Police also recovered several handguns, bullet proof vests, night vision goggles and ammunition during their search of Jacques’ home. Two of the handguns were previously reported stolen out of Berks County, police say.
Jacques is charged with multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.
He is in Berks County Jail on $1,000,000 bail.
Also on Wednesday, PSP and AG investigators served another warrant in the 600 block of Linden Street.
There they detained 34-year-old Michael Santos-Rivera and conducted their search.

Court documents state that police seized a quantity of drugs including marijuana, cocaine and MDMA as well as drug paraphernalia, a handgun and approximately $20,000.00 in U.S. currency.
Santos-Rivera is charged with multiple counts of possession with intent and is in Berks County Jail on $500,000 bail.
The Reading Police Department confirmed that the two cases are related but did not specify what the specific relationship between Jacques and Santos-Rivera was.
