During a press conference late last month, Zang said there will be an incident command center monitoring the closure for the 25 days as well. “We’re going to have people in our incident command center monitoring, monitoring the detour routes,” Zang said. He added, “They’ll be able to make adjustments to traffic signals in real time. If there are any problems or a breakdown, we’re going to know about it and send somebody out. We’ll] be able to react.” The closure impacts 100,000 daily drivers, many of whom will now turn to alternative routes.
