Three people were injured in an accident involving a tractor-trailer and other vehicles in Bern Township, according to emergency reports.
The accident was reported shortly before 2 p.m. on Route 183 in front of the Berks Career and Technology Center’s CDL training site, a school where people learn to truck drivers.
At least one tractor-trailer and four other vehicles were involved, with the wreckage blocking both lanes, reports said.
Both lanes of Route 183 were shut down between West Leesport Road and Hilltop Road.
Rescue engines and medical units were called in. The trapped patient was removed and transported for treatment along with two other injured patients.
