WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A popular retail chain will soon bring its “amazing deals” to a new location in Lehigh County.
A location of dd’s DISCOUNTS is slated to open on Sept. 25 at 2180 MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township, a corporate spokesperson told 69 News.

The new store, dd’s Discounts’ first Lehigh Valley location, will occupy a renovated space in the Whitehall Square shopping center.
The end unit previously housed a Staples location, which closed in January.
“We’re looking forward to being a part of the Whitehall community,” the spokesperson said.
Dublin, California-based Ross Stores, Inc., with fiscal 2025 revenues of $22.8 billion, is the parent company of dd’s DISCOUNTS.

The first dd’s DISCOUNTS store opened in 2004, and more than 360 dd’s DISCOUNTS stores now operate in 23 states with “a more moderately-priced assortment of first-quality, in-season apparel, accessories, footwear, and home fashions for the entire family at savings of 20% to 70% off moderate department and discount store regular prices every day,” according to a corporate profile.
Several dd’s DISCOUNTS stores operate south of the Lehigh Valley in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

A Mister Car Wash location is coming soon to the Whitehall Squar on MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township.

In the Whitehall Square, dd’s DISCOUNTS will operate a few doors down from a location of its sister brand, Ross Dress for Less.
The shopping center is home to a diverse mix of more than 15 tenants, including other popular chains such as Redner’s Markets, Dollar Tree and Gabe’s.
New additions include Pickleball Kingdom and KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot.
Additionally, the first Lehigh Valley location of Mister Car Wash, “committed to offering you a clean, dry, and shiny car every time” by using its proprietary Unity Chemistry system, is coming soon to a pad site near the lanes exiting Whitehall Square to MacArthur Road.
