Baseball fans attending the MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby will be able to enjoy a free SEPTA ride back home.
According to a PhillyVoice report, on Monday, July 13, DraftKings will extend free fares on the Broad Street Line from NRG Station from the end of the Home Run Derby’s second round until 11:59 p.m. Free rides will be available only from NRG Station.
For the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14, Pennsylvania Lottery-sponsored fare relief will cover rides starting after the sixth inning from NRG Station through 11:59 p.m. Riders boarding elsewhere pay the standard $2.90 fare.
SEPTA announced it will also increase service for the events, adding six express trains on the Broad Street Line and three extra inbound and outbound Regional Rail trains on the Landsale/Doylestown and Paoli/Thorndale lines.
The MLB All-Star weekend features a range of events including the Home Run Derby, All-Star Game activities at Citizens Bank Park, youth baseball/softball tournaments at FDR Park, and a fan festival at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
