Metairie probably seeing some of that rain, might miss it at the airport, might pass just to the east of you. *** few more showers that are making their way again from the south to the north. La Place, I think you might be getting *** few raindrops here in the next 10 minutes. Our chance for rain is gradually going up over the next few days. Today, isolated flooding is *** possibility, *** very small possibility. Tomorrow, however, the weather Prediction Center puts us in the marginal risk to possibly see some flooding. Monday they put us in the slight risk category, so level 2 out of 4. Basically we’re getting wetter starting today. Isolated flooding something we have to consider. Today is weather impact day. Tomorrow’s weather impact day. Monday *** weather alert day because that risk for flooding goes up just *** little bit. Our temperatures right now are close to 80 in *** lot of spots, 79 at the airport, 81 officially at the lakefront. We’re at 73 in Bogalusa, 73 also in Hammond. Let’s go to the tropics because things are quiet. We are starting to see more tropical moisture move up, but the Caribbean is very, very. Clear right now tropical moisture is going to be interacting with *** front, *** cold front that’s going to get close to us. That’s the reason why things are getting wetter for us, especially by Sunday and Monday. We have high pressure that’s to the north. That front not really in the picture just yet, and it’s not going to get to us, but it’s going to get close enough to help to trigger some of that rain. Let me take you hour by hour through the next few days, and the computer models in pretty good agreement today by the. Noon hour starting to pick up on showers and thunderstorms that are going to contain isolated heavy rain. Severe weather is not expected. Can’t rule out the possibility this time of year that one of the storms could contain some gusty winds, but that’s almost always the case in July. Once we get to about 3 o’clock this afternoon, you do see some of that heavier rain. By 6 o’clock, *** lot of the showers starting to taper. Tomorrow, the chance for rain goes up *** little bit. First thing in the morning will be mainly clear. By the noon. Hour again picking up on some of those showers tomorrow afternoon once we get to about 3 o’clock, then the mid portion of the afternoon going to the evening chance for rain going up to about 70% for you tomorrow. That rain still could be hanging on through about 8, 8:30, 9 o’clock on Sunday. Flooding is *** possibility there. Monday also looking to be another active day for us. I told you that we’re making Monday *** weather alert day because of the fact that the flooding risk does go up just. Little bit, basically things are going to be wet for us today, especially tomorrow and Monday. I think Sunday and Monday are definitely going to be on the wetter side compared with today, but still our showers already popping up right now. Chance for rain officially at about 60 to 70% today, goes up to 70% on Sunday. Monday goes up to 80%. We’re concerned about that flooding. Tuesday still looking wet, drier by Wednesday, Thursday.
