CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The National Weather Service for Cleveland is warning people not to swim in Lake Erie from Saturday into Sunday.
The service is alerting swimmers to dangerous swimming conditions in the lake in effect after 1 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
They say the lake will see waves of 3 to 4 feet that create a swimming risk.
The weather service is discouraging swimmers from heading to the lake.
They said that these conditions will affect beaches near Lake Erie, including Lakeview Park Beach, Huntington Beach, Edgewater Park, Euclid Beach and Headlands Beach.
They also advise swimmers to “stay dry when waves are high and avoid piers, breakwalls, and river outlets.”
