WEST READING, Pa. — West Reading Market is also celebrating the nation’s birthday and it’s own anniversary!

The market marked its 20th anniversary Sunday with live music, community spirit and more.

The market’s manager says the key to being successful is having committed producers and passionate customers who want to come back week after week.

“We treat the farmers’ market more like an experience. There’s much more to this just shopping for your weekly groceries,” said Kendra Giangiulio of the market. “A lot of what goes on here is community based; we have neighbors, friends, family, people that meet up here just to see each other and it’s really just a bonus that you get to buy local produce for the week.”

The market is open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sundays.
