Patricia Gribbin McGeehan
OBITUARY
Patricia Gribbin McGeehan, 72, of Scranton, passed peacefully into eternal life on 7/8/2026 after navigating pancreatic cancer with grace and courage.
Born August 24, 1953, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Elizabeth (Dempsey) Murphy.
Patricia was a graduate of Marywood University and received a Master of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Scranton. She retired from a rewarding career with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry as a Supervisor at the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Patricia’s family will remember her for her generous spirit, compassionate heart, strength, and resilience. She was a loyal and cherished friend. Above all, her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was the most devoted and supportive grandma.
Surviving are her daughters, Tara E. Gribbin and Emily M. Chiaro and husband James; her beloved grandchildren: Caden Gribbin, Reagan and Gabriella Chiaro; her sister Elizabeth Quinn; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters Judith Lane, Alice Brennan and Barbara White.
A Mass will be celebrated on July 17, 20206, at 10:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church Street, Moscow, PA, with Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney as celebrant.
Friends may call on July 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
Interment and rite of committal will be conducted at St. Catherine’s Cemetery – Covington Twp. PA.
