Police to host training program at Wilson High School in Berks this week, will feature increased police presence drills  | Reading Area

BERKS COUNTY, Pa.- The Spring Township Police Department sent a notice to residents explaining a training program this week at Wilson High School in Berks County will feature an increased police presence. 

The program serves as a collaboration between the Spring Township and Lower Heidelberg Police Departments and will last from July 13 to July 16, the department said in a post on its Facebook account. 

Increased police presence, drills, and potential noises from blanks and sirens are to be expected, according to the report. 

Officials advised residents to avoid the marked training areas. 

The training program will last from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wilson High School’s West Lawn, according to police.
