A woman was shot in a shoulder in a domestic incident in Upper Darby.
Township Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said police were called to the unit block of Houston Road on Wednesday about 7:30 p.m. for a gunshot victim.
The victim suffered an in-and-out wound to the shoulder. She was taken to Lankenau Hospital and later released.
Bernhardt said the incident appears to involve a fight over an old boyfriend and a new boyfriend.
The shooting occurred in the basement of the home. The victim said someone knocked on back door, a person came in the back door and fired two shots, one hitting the victim.
The shooter and victim knew each other and there is no threat to the public, Bernhardt said.
