A new Sheetz convenience store will offer free self-serve coffee and soda for its opening day in the Lehigh Valley.
The free drink promotion will last all day Thursday at the new store at 1740 Main St. in Hellertown, a news release announced. It’s the first-ever Sheetz for the borough and the fourth store in Northampton County. The store opens at 8 a.m.
The same free drink promotion will occur during grand-opening celebrations from 9-11 a.m. on July 22, with additional giveaways such as $250 in gift cards and a $2,500 gift card. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m.
Sheetz also will present a $2,500 donation each to Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania as well as Special Olympics Pennsylvania. The chain encouraged attendees to donate a nonperishable food item to Second Harvest to receive “Sheetz Swag” while supplies last, from 9-11 a.m.
