READING, Pa. — Developers are dreaming big as they tour a former bank building in downtown Reading that’s set to be revamped.

The Farmers Bank building is part of a 52-million dollar project in the 400 block of Penn Street.

Plans call for 150 apartments and condos and 53,000 square feet of retail space.

The Green Building Alliance hosted the tour.

The developers learned about energy efficiency and long-term resiliency and they had the chance to speak with preservationists.
