BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bethlehem is home to several great cafes, including longstanding favorites such as The Joint, The Wise Bean, Lit Coffee Roastery & Bakeshop and Deja Brew Coffeehouse & Deli along with fresh finds such as Paradise Kafe, North Street Cafe, Ay Bendito Café and Cozy Café & Restaurant.
Now, three new cafes are planning to bring even more tasty food and beverage options to the city within the next few months.
Here’s a round-up of new cafes coming soon to East Third Street in south Bethlehem:

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A cafe coming soon to Northampton County will serve up premium, made-to-order eats – including pistachio Nutella French toast, breakfast pizza, ribeye steaks and lamb chops – in a posh, pink-filled dining room.
A new location of Pink Pistachio Cafe, a full-service restaurant featuring elevated drinks and dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, is expected to open in late summer or early fall at 34 E. Third St. in south Bethlehem, owner Ishrat Ilyas said.
The cafe will occupy the ground floor of the former Goodman Furniture property, which has been developed into a mixed-use project with retail, commercial and office space.
“Our target is September, but if that doesn’t happen, we’d open in October at the latest,” Ilyas told 69 News this week.
Pink Pistachio’s first location opened in January 2025 in Somerset, New Jersey, and a second location opened in April 2026 in Grandview Heights, Ohio, Ilyas said.
The Bethlehem cafe will be Pink Pistachio’s first Pennsylvania location, and Ilyas is planning to further expand the business’ footprint with an additional cafe, tentatively scheduled to open in spring 2027 in Fairfield, New Jersey.
In south Bethlehem, Ilyas looks forward to Pink Pistachio operating in a “great corner spot, with great visibility.”
“We’re very excited to be opening in Bethlehem,” Ilyas said.
“In Somerset, we have customers coming from one to two hours away, and a lot of people who have been coming from the Bethlehem area have been asking for a closer, more convenient location. So, we really can’t wait to open there.” Full story here.

‘Incredibly excited’: Café franchise’s 1st Pennsylvania location coming soon to Bethlehem (published June 23)
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A new spot for unique drinks and desserts, including karak chai, date cardamom lattes, mango cold foam matcha and pistachio knafeh cookies, is coming soon to Northampton County.
The first Pennsylvania location of Karak House Coffee Co., offering “an authentic Karak chai and specialty coffee experience,” will open later this year at 318 E. Third St. in Bethlehem, co-founder and CEO Junaid Malik told 69 News.
The new café will operate a few doors down from Sizzling Bites on the ground floor of the Third & Polk Building.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Karak House Coffee Co. to the Bethlehem community…” Malik said.
“We are currently aiming for a fall 2026 opening. As we finalize our build-out and approach the date, we will have a more specific grand opening date to share.”
Karak House was established in 2023 in Laguna Hills, California with a goal of bringing the authentic chai experience to a modern, welcoming setting, according to an online description.
Malik founded the business with his brothers, Zohaib and Rohail Malik, and the group has steadily grown the brand via franchised locations across the country.
“Karak House started the way every good chai conversation starts — with friends, a kitchen, and the words “let’s have some Karak,’” an online description reads.
“… The recipe came from home. The hospitality came from how we were raised. The rest came from the people who showed up every day.”
Over the past few years, the brand has grown to more than a dozen open and coming-soon locations nationwide.
Karak House Coffee Co. is now setting up shop in prominent cities such as San Diego, California; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Tempe, Arizona. Read more here.

Michigan-based coffee shop brand opening 1st Lehigh Valley location at former Starbucks spot (published April 17)
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A fast-growing coffee shop brand is bringing its “luxury café experience” to the Lehigh Valley.
The first Lehigh Valley location of Caffeena Coffee House, a Michigan-based Yemeni coffee shop brand, is coming soon to 502 E. Third St. in south Bethlehem.
The new coffee shop will occupy a renovated space that previously housed a Starbucks location on the ground floor of the Five 10 Flats apartment complex.
“We’re excited to be joining the community,” said Simon Saleh, Caffeena Coffee House’s managing director.
“We are currently targeting a late summer opening, pending final inspections and final preparations.”
Caffeena Coffee House is a Yemeni coffee shop concept based out of Michigan and built around a “more elevated, luxury café experience,” Saleh said.
The brand focuses on high-quality beans, traditional brewing methods and creating an atmosphere that feels “intentionally different from a typical coffee shop,” Saleh said.
“This location will be the first Yemeni coffee shop to open in Bethlehem, and it is proudly women-owned and operated,” Saleh said.
“The space will feature thoughtfully designed areas, including private conference rooms and a multi-faith room open to all guests, along with a menu centered around premium coffee and signature drinks. Our goal is to create a place where people can meet, work, and connect in a comfortable and welcoming environment.” Read more.
