CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A central Pennsylvania man was charged last week after a three-year-old nearly died from drowning at a Cumberland County hotel, police said Tuesday.

Online court records show, Nicholas Moyer, 43, of Myerstown, Lebanon County, was charged Tuesday, July 7, with a felony count of endangering the welfare of children.

Upper Allen Township Police were called to the hotel on April 5, a little after 11:30 a.m., for a near-fatal drowning.

The child was taken to a local hospital after nearly drowning, police said. Moyer allegedly wasn’t watching his children properly while he and his children were staying at the hotel.

Moyer posted his unsecured bail set at $2,000 and awaits a preliminary hearing for August 27, court records show.
