COOLBAUGH TWP. — A Tobyhanna man who possessed and disseminated child sexual abuse material faces more than 1,000 felony charges, state Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Monday.

Agents who searched the home of Marc Villanti, 54, found at least 1,000 files depicting children, according to a news release. Agents also determined Villanti shared at least 70 of the files discovered during the investigation, officials said.

The Office of Attorney General received a tip and determined Villanti was using a peer-to-peer platform to share and obtain the material. Agents also found a video of Villanti following teenage girls as they got into vehicles, officials said.

Villanti’s bail was set at $100,000 cash. Should he post bail, Villanti may not access the internet or have any contact with children, officials said.
