SCRANTON — Actress Florencia Lozano will visit the Cardinal Flix Summer Film Series on July 23 for a movie screening and a panel discussion on substance abuse. Cardinal Flix is the New York City company that intends to shoot movies in the region.
Lozano’s movie “Life After You” will be screened at the Scranton Art Haus Cinema on Thursday, July 23, at 6 p.m. The drama was inspired by a true story of a family coping with the loss of a 19-year-old son to a fentanyl-laced heroin overdose.
Lozano’s credits include Téa Delgado in “One Life to Live” and the second season of “Narcos.” The cast also includes Kathryn Erbe and Gary Perez.
The discussion will also include Kathy Strain of the Partnership to End Addiction and Cardinal Flix executives.
The company plans to film a psychological thriller, “Arachnophilia,” in the region in the fall.
