The Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity offers its annual Veterans Day Celebration and Presentation 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Gracedale Nursing Home. A musical tribute to area veterans will be offered by Jennie Flicker’s piano studio, choral group Noteworthy from Nazareth Area High School, and the library’s ukulele orchestra. Maj. Ronald Mills, assistant research engineering officer with the Army, and Norma Shriver, who will speak about her experience at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the “Adopt A Grave” program, will serve as guest speakers. Boy Scout Troop 76 will present the colors.

Mary Meuser Library presents Barry Willever’s discussion “Reflections of a Vietnam Vet” and local author Rebecca Price Janney’s discussion on “East of the Sun,” her first novel in “The Heirs of Freedom” series set in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War, 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Fellowship Hall of the United Fellowship Lutheran Church, 2115 Washington Blvd., Wilson. Slate Belt Heritage Center & Museum Veterans Day program 2 p.m. Nov. 9. Dane DiFebo presents “Understanding the 153rd Pennsylvania Infantry through Artifacts and Documents.” DiFebo will address how the officers and enlisted men of “Northampton County’s Own” nine-month volunteer infantry regiment contributed to the Union cause in the American Civil War by describing artifacts and accounts that they left behind. Lehigh Valley Marines, in honor of the corps’ 250th anniversary, will gather 4-4:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Marine Corps Memorial at Cedar Beach, Hamilton and Ott streets, Allentown. The Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley Marine Corps League detachments and the local inspector-instructor staff of India Battery in Allentown participate along with other Marines, Fleet Marine Force Sailors in the community. Program includes a ceremony, color guard, bugle rendition of the Marine Corps Hymn, a soloist sings the national anthem, followed by a cake cutting.

Fullerton Post 367 will hold a service honoring veterans, 9 a.m. Nov. 11 at Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Whitehall and a service to honor the Fullerton World War I veterans 9:30 a.m. in front of the World War I Memorial on Park Street in the Fullerton area of Whitehall Township. A service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Post, 609 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall. Americans We Tribute to Veterans Holiday Concert: 3 p.m. Nov. 16, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th St., Allentown. The Bach Choir of Bethlehem and the Allentown Band perform Randall Thompson’s “A Testament of Freedom” and other patriotic and holiday favorites. The concert honors all veterans including honorees selected by the Lehigh Valley Veterans History Project representing WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
