WQLN has announced that its Sounds Around Town event will be moved indoors because of poor air quality conditions in the Erie area.
Organizers said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to protect attendees, performers and staff as air quality concerns continue across the region.
While the location is changing, the event itself will proceed as scheduled.
“Everything will stay the same, just the location,” WQLN said in an announcement.
Sounds Around Town will now be held inside WQLN’s main studio rather than its original outdoor venue.
The free community event is part of WQLN’s ongoing Sounds Around Town concert series, which showcases local and regional musical talent.
Air quality alerts have been issued in parts of Pennsylvania in recent days due to smoke and other atmospheric conditions, prompting organizations across the region to modify or cancel outdoor activities.
