WYOMISSING, Pa. — The Borough of Wyomissing has been awarded a $2 million grant through Pa.’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.
According to Wyomissing, this grant is intended to support improvements to Borough Hall and the Police Department, providing Borough employees and first responders with spaces that better support the work they do for the community.
The state grant program provides funding for economic, cultural, civic, and historic improvement projects throughout Pa.
The Borough shared this funding will help them address the long-term needs of its municipal facilities and continue providing the level of service residents expect.
“This is a significant investment in the future of Wyomissing and in the people who rely on Borough services every day,” Borough Council President Kristen Gajewski said.
“This funding will help us respect the history [of Wyomissing] while ensuring our facilities continue to meet the needs of our residents and the employees who serve this community,” Gajewski added.
The Borough thanks Sen. Judy Schwank, Gov. Josh Shapiro and members of the Berks County legislative delegation for their support of the project and their continued investment in Wyomissing.
