East Penn Manufacturing Co. has been ranked among America’s best private companies in 2026 by TIME, in collaboration with Statista.
The rankings recognize the top private companies in the United States based on employee satisfaction and company impact, according to a release.
East Penn, a Berks County-based manufacturer of batteries and accessories, ranked 18th among 500 companies selected, with a score of 91.74.
The rankings are determined, in part, on an independent evaluation that includes employee satisfaction surveys from approximately 217,000 U.S. employees collected over a three-year period, according to the release. In addition, the assessment considers each company’s impact on society, global knowledge and health, and the environment.
“This recognition reflects the commitment of our employees and the values that have guided East Penn for 80 years,” Pete Stanislawczyk, East Penn’s chief executive officer of manufacturing, said in a statement. “As a privately held, family-owned company, we can focus on what matters most: our people, our customers, and long-term success that will benefit all those we serve.”
Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Lyons, East Penn Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer of lead batteries and accessories for the automotive, commercial, marine, motive power, UPS and telecommunication markets. The company employs more than 10,000.
