(WHTM) — A Pennsylvania man was arrested this week by Homeland Security amid an investigation into a group of people sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Charles Beanner, 52, from Homestead, Allegheny County, distributed CSAM that sometimes depicted children as young as six months old in the group on two occasions in April 2024 and March 2026, the DOJ said.
People from the United States and overseas are in the group. The DOJ said the Swedish Government arrested multiple Swedes who were involved in sexual exploitation.
The United States filed a request for detention for Beanner pending trial and a hearing on the motion has been scheduled for July 21, the DOJ noted.
