A 39-year-old man died at a city hospital Friday night, the Lackawanna County coroner says
SCRANTON, Pa. — A 39-year-old man died Friday night after a shooting in Lackawanna County, law enforcement officials said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was brought to a hospital in Scranton at 8:30 p.m. from a home on the 300 block of North Hyde Park Avenue, according to city police and the county coroner. The man later died at at the hospital.
Scranton police said the shooting was an isolated incident and said there was no threat to the public. It was unclear if authorities had anyone in custody Saturday afternoon.
An investigation remained ongoing Saturday.
