Rock the Block music festival is taking center stage at the V-Spot Bar along Providence Road in Lackawanna County.
The event is presented by “Rock to Remember,” a non-profit started in the memory of Tony Beradelli of Scranton.
Tony was a musician and loved rock ‘n roll; he died last year from brain tumors.
Tonight features raffles, drinks, and a lineup of music that’s being played in his honor.
“My heart is so full. We’ve done 7 months of planning for this, and I knew that it was gonna be a big deal getting everybody together, and now that I’m here, I’m just like at ease. I feel like he’s right here with me, and we’re just really excited to have an awesome day,” said Founder of Rock to Remember, Krista Berardelli.
Saturday’s event in Scranton will run until 8 p.m.
Proceeds will go towards brain cancer research and scholarships for students pursuing music.
