SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Multiple roads in downtown Scranton are closed to accommodate the FIFA Fan Zone for the final weekend of the World Cup.
Adams Avenue and Washington Avenue will be closed from Lackawanna Avenue to Mulberry Street, and Spruce Street and Linden Street will be closed from Wyoming Avenue to Jefferson Avenue.
The roads were closed Friday and will remain closed until Monday when the FIFA Fan Zone setup is taken down.

The FIFA Fan Zone is open 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday for the World Cup third-place game between England and France, and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday for the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
Another notable closure in downtown is at the intersection of Mulberry and North Washington Avenue, where crews are working to repair a major water main break affecting the downtown area.
