The Commercial Street Bridge replacement project is tracking ahead of schedule. The new bridge is nearly in place, sliding 96 feet in seven hours Sunday before pausing at the current point, according to PennDOT District Executive Jason Zang.At a news conference Monday, PennDOT District Executive Jason Zang said one of the bearing pedestals had to wait to be placed until the bridge moved into its current position.
