Apparel and food given out at Bill’s Shopping Plaza in Moscow ahead of ‘Go Joe 29’
MOSCOW, Pa. — Update (July 19, 2026): This event will be happening again today, Sunday, July 19 from 11 a.m. 4 p.m., because of Saturday’s rain.
If you haven’t heard already, Newswatch 16 meteorologist Joe Snedeker is getting ready for the 29th annual “Go Joe” fundraising bike ride next week, and today, an event in Lackawanna County gave the annual ride even more of a head start!
Shirts, hats, and a variety of food were given out at Bill’s Shopping Plaza in Moscow.
The group of friends hosting the fundraising event has been doing so annually for more than 25 years!
All the money raised will benefit “Go Joe 29” and the Saint Joseph’s Center in Scranton.
“The people in this area have been generous to Saint Joseph’s Center. They’ve always been supportive, and Build ShopRite, Dale Valla Hardware, North Pocono Beverage, and the Covington Fire Company have all donated time and materials for us,” said Tom Byers.
