It’s hard to argue with a captain. That’s a volleyball captain, a basketball captain and a softball captain.
If you were to talk about Sarah Tobin you would be tempted to think of her sister Anna, recently graduated and another centerpiece to the Cardinals’ athletic programs.
But as Tobin has played hard, tough and consistently throughout three-straight seasons of sports, she has reminded you a tale as old as time: don’t forget that the younger sibling always knows how to put up a fight.
In volleyball Tobin is strength at the net both with the serve and without. In basketball she is a tenacious rebounder and a consistent interior scorer. In softball the Cardinals lean on her arm in the circle, prone to pitching teams into twists in the batter’s box and capable of driving in runs with one swing of the bat.
Tobin is slated to be back for her senior season and will be that much further removed from injuries, ready to take another step as a dominant triple-threat athlete.
