Football fans and families will have the opportunity to meet a former NFL player next month as Garry Gilliam visits the expERIEnce Children’s Museum for a special community event.
The museum will host “Kickoff with Garry Gilliam” on August 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is included with regular museum admission and will feature opportunities for visitors to meet the NFL alumnus, participate in football-themed activities and enjoy family-friendly entertainment.
According to event organizers, attendees will have the chance to meet Gilliam in person, grab a sticker, receive autographs during a book-signing session and take part in football games and interactive activities. Those in attendance can enter a drawing for a free book signed by Garry.
Gilliam played in the National Football League after a standout collegiate career and has since become involved in community outreach and youth engagement initiatives.
The event is being presented by the expERIEnce Children’s Museum with support from Erie Insurance.
Organizers encourage families to arrive early and take advantage of the museum’s exhibits while enjoying the special appearance.
