Downtown Allentown will soon have a new space to enjoy wine, cocktails and more when a winery opens next month.

Soaked in the City will have a grand opening 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at 932 Hamilton St., according to owner Shannon Birosik and an online announcement from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. A ribbon cutting will occur at 5:30 p.m.

The winery will be a sister location to Soaked Winery in Lehigh Township, Northampton County.

“… Soaked in the City brings a fresh and sophisticated gathering space to the heart of downtown,” the announcement said. “Created by the owners of Soaked Winery, this exciting new concept expands their popular Lehigh Valley brand with a vibrant cocktail lounge designed for everything from happy hour and date nights to celebrations with friends. Featuring expertly crafted cocktails, an inviting atmosphere, and a carefully curated beverage menu, Soaked in the City adds another unique experience to Downtown Allentown’s growing dining and entertainment scene.”
