A new dessert and drink shop officially opened their doors downtown on Wednesday.

Boba & Batter held a ribbon cutting alongside the Erie Downtown Development Corporation Wednesday afternoon at their location in the 400 block of State Street.

 Victory Cruise Lines adds Erie to 2028 Great Lakes voyage 

The new business serves up desserts like crepes, waffles and milkshakes and, of course, boba teas.

Owners said they’re not stopping there, and plan to expand their menu in the coming weeks. They hope this new addition brings even more excitement to the heart of downtown.

“Honestly, it’s something that we’ve really been wanting to do for a while, and we noticed it was something missing from downtown, and we really wanted to be here, so it only made sense to just come downtown and share it with everybody else,” said co-owner Moe Suwan.

Boba & Batter will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
