James ‘Jimbo’ Baldassarre (1941 – 2025)

James “Jimbo” Baldassarre, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of the late Patricia J. (Poldrugo) Baldassarre. James was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 29, 1941 to the late John and Elizabeth (Keegan) Baldassarre. He served our country faithfully in the United States Navy during peacetime. Jim worked for the City of New York as a Corrections Officer for 20 years until retiring in 1992. He was a very social man who cherished moments spent with family and friends. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often enjoying red wine while listening to doo-wop oldies music. His love for his grandchildren was unmatched, and he took great pride in sharing stories of his Brooklyn heritage with those he loved. He was a familiar face at local spots in Hellertown, including the Hellertown Diner, Crossroads Hotel and the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, where he created lasting memories.
