BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – Police are searching for two suspects following an armed robbery at a Northampton County Best Buy on Wednesday night.
According to Bethlehem Township Police, the incident occurred in the Southmont Plaza shopping center, located at 4413 Birkland Place, around nine p.m., shortly before the store closed.
The two males entered the store and approached the service counter area. One of them displayed a handgun to a female employee, say police.
The men proceeded to enter the service counter area and take undisclosed merchandise from the store, says law enforcement.
Police said following the robbery, the people quickly fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.
No employees or customers were injured during the incident.
Both people have been described by police as black males in their teens or possibly early 20’s, both approximately 5-6 feet tall, thin build, both wearing black hoodies and black pants.
They were additionally both wearing blue medical masks, concealing their faces, say officials.
According to police, this incident remains under investigation. Additional information may be released as it becomes available during the course of the investigation.
