Mercy Center for Women celebrates Erie community with Donor Appreciation event

On Wednesday night, the Mercy Center for Women celebrated those in the community who give back.

The nonprofit held its 4th annual Donor Appreciation event.

 Second annual charity meet and run supports Shriners Children’s Erie 

The event was a chance to thank supporters for making the work they do every day a possibility.

As the Mercy Center for Women continues investing in the community by providing housing and opportunities to those less fortunate, its leaders say philanthropy goes a long way.

“It allows people and donors the opportunity to feel appreciated, but more importantly just to embrace and enrich their lives with the good work that Mercy Center for Women does and our Erie community,” said Executive Director Jenny Hagerty. “We are just grateful and for this we are sharing our gratitude to and for them.”

The Mercy Center also used the event to kick off their participation in the upcoming Erie Gives day.
