ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The A-Town Throwdown tournament tipped off on Thursday with a pair of local high school basketball matchups taking place at Cedar Beach Park courts.
On the women’s side, Emmaus took on Whitehall in a battle of cross-town rivals. The Green hornets buzzed through, winning 34-20 behind Alyiah Rosario, Camryn Harp and Olivia Haberl’s contributions.
Emmaus won both mashups handedly during the scholastic season.
Over on the men’s court, Salisbury battled with Freedom until victorious 30-24. Julian Makhoul led all scorers with 16 points.
