Former Valley View pitcher Max Kranick was taken off the IL a few weeks ago and in his second appearance of the season yesterday he struck out Scranton’s Jake McCarthy in the 9th inning. The one inning and the K for Kranick sealed Washington’s 8-0 win over Colorado.
This is the first time the former Lackawanna league all stars have met each other in a game since high school. The two ball players have worked out in the off season with together at Riverfront Sports in Scranton. The Nationals and Rockies will meet each other again later in August.
