A family of three was assisted by the Red Cross following a fire in Upper Darby.
Firefighters were alerted Friday about 1:30 a.m. to the 100 block of Barrington Road for smoke from a light fixture.
Upper Darby Assistant Fire Chief Robert Callahan said the fire was not serious, however power to the home had to be shut off.
